Red Wine Touriga Nacional | Jaen

description:

Wines with Soul

With more than a century of history, the estate has gone through several stages, including the production of different agricultural products. However, Dão wine production has always held the most significant role.

With approximately seven hectares of vineyards averaging over 40 years of age, the vines are planted in granitic and quartzite soils at an altitude of around 450 meters. The predominant grape varieties that give rise to our Dão wines are Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Jaen, and Alfrocheiro for red wines, and Encruzado for white wines.

One of our main concerns is environmental sustainability. To this end, we use natural fertilizers and minimize the use of plant protection products, strictly complying with integrated pest management standards.

We maintain continuous monitoring of the vineyards, as this is the only way to produce high-quality grapes, honoring the proverb:

“The best wine is born in the vineyard.”
